The ROI of Data-Driven Security Infographic
This infographic illustrates the real-world impact that data can have on physical security, including improved knowledge of vulnerabilities, enhanced security ConOps, accelerated reporting to venue leadership, and better experiences for both guests and security teams.
Weighing the Value of Evolv Express® System Integrations and Evolv Insights® for K-12 Schools
In response to school gun violence, many K-12 schools are looking at ways to bolster their security. Walkthrough and hand-held metal detectors are often cited as an option. But these legacy approaches to weapons screening are simply not a good fit for several reasons. In this whitepaper, we outline 8 ways to use security screening data from Evolv Insights® and Integrations to improve school safety.
The ROI of Data-Driven Security
While intuition and “gut-feel” are essential to protecting physical security, quantitative data can help teams support a more proactive security posture with evidence-based decisions around staffing, resourcing, training, and ConOps (concept of operations) planning.
Five Ways Data Improves Physical Security
Access to digital information is changing the world dramatically, and physical security is no exception. Leading venues across sports, entertainment, theme parks, industrial workplaces, schools, healthcare, and places of worship can improve their security posture by leveraging better information about visitor curves, alarm rates, and threats across their venue during specific events.
Knowing how many guests move through each entrance compared to ticket scans enables us to know how many guests are in the stadium and at what times, we also track how quickly guests are moving through each of our entrances and visitor arrival curves and counts to manage staffing resources for optimal guest experience. Unlike with our walk-through metal detectors, we no longer have overstaffing or understaffing issues.
With Evolv Insights® analytics and reporting, we are able to take a much more strategic approach to managing staff—when and where they should be. The old system gave us the gross number of people who went through security scanning. The Express system gives us peak times of entry and the number of false positives.
I really like the analytics we get from Evolv Insights® around student arrival numbers and times at different entrances, system detection performance, and alarm statistics...I review them every day and plan to put together regular reports to present to the school board. We also can use the analytics to determine staffing resources at each of our school entrances.
Evolv Cortex AI® Platform
Unlike traditional metal detectors, Evolv Express is powered by the Evolv Cortex AI® software platform which enables the system to spot threats while ignoring harmless personal items. Real-time image-aided alarms show guards precisely where the potential threat is.
Revolutionary touchless security screening that’s up to 10x faster than the traditional metal detectors. Using advanced sensors and artificial intelligence (AI), our products are deployed at ingress points and screen everyone who enters a venue—without the need to hand over all of their belongings or even slow their pace as they walk through.
Evolv Express® Integrations
Integrating into your security environment extends communications from vital venue entrances, placing the power of screening in the hands of your security officers to close system gaps and react quickly to threats, which is key to shortening response time and improving overall situational awareness.
